Code of Ethics

A member shall adhere to all applicable laws, statutes and regulations of the State of Arizona and United States of America in carrying out investigations on behalf of our clients. A member shall apprise clients against any illegal or unethical activities and to cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies, as required by law.

Our board of directors is composed of Volunteer Investigative Professionals who act as the fiduciaries who steer the Association towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and management policies, as well as by making sure the association has adequate resources to advance its mission.

I had served as the Member-at-Large of AALPI for a little over a year before I ran for Sergeant-at-Arms. I served for two terms before I, after deep thought, decided to run for Vice-President. I figured that I'd have a couple of terms to sort things out before taking the next step and possibly becoming President of AALPI.

He was born in Independence, MO and attended Paseo High School in Kansas City, MO. It was there he met the love of his life, Bette Gilbert. They married in 1957 and moved to Phoenix shortly thereafter. Larry played football as a freshman at Arizona State College, served in the Navy Reserve, and founded Capitol Detective Agency.
