Our mission is to provide a quality project that is completed on time and exceeds expectations. Kelsey Construction was founded by Gobel Newsome, Jr. in 1998. Gobel financed the start up of the business by cashing in his 401(k) to purchase a truck and a piece of equipment. In 1999, K&M Blasting, a sister company specializing in blasting services, was established.
In 2008, we added highway work and large commercial projects to our services, with a concrete division following in 2010. From humble beginnings in 1998 with a focus solely on utility jobs, Kelsey has steadily grown into a multimillion dollar civil contractor with 75 employees, a large fleet of heavy equipment, and state-of-the-art GPS laser grade control technology.

Have a large amount of rock on a job? No problem for us. Our sister company, K&M Blasting, is a contract blasting service that specializes in drilling and blasting to provide both mass rock and trench rock removal. Kelsey Construction, LLC is committed to the recruitment and retention of experienced, dedicated employees.

At the end of the day, everyone wants to be able to return home safely to their families. At Kelsey Construction, we take safety very seriously and provide several types of training for our employees in order to provide the safest work environment possible. In addition, each site has a designated "Emergency Rally Point" for crew members to meet at in the event of an emergency.
