Switzerland County Indiana has a long wine making history being home to America's first successful commercial winery. The Ridge Winery began operation in 1990 restoring that wine making heritage. In 1990 Tom Demaree decided to turn his passion into a winery business producing wines at the Demaree Family Farm for The Ridge Winery Inc.
With the assistance of his wife Jane Demaree, family and friends, Tom saw his vision become a reality. Using his talent, Tom has created many wines and currently has 18 varieties of wine to enjoy. The wines produced at The Ridge Winery are known in this region for their unique blends using select fruits and grapes.
