In August of 1993, Tom and Teresa Kincaid opened the doors to their brand new assisted living facility, a vision that began as a sketch on a napkin. Caremoor Retirement Center was built on family land that Teresa's grandparents, W.L. and Ruth Overcash, originally operated as a dairy farm. Teresa grew up on the land spending time with her beloved grandparents.

Caremoor Assisted Living and The Carriage House Family Care Home and Apartments offer enhanced care. Our assisted living facilities provide daily meals, housekeeping services, and help with day-to-day living activities. Residents who require around-the-clock care for acute or chronic illnesses should seek their physician's advice in choosing the right facility.

Caremoor Retirement Community is located in the heart of Cabarrus County, just minutes from Interstate 85 on Kannapolis Parkway and only a half-hour from Uptown Charlotte. We are conveniently located near major shopping and dining destinations in both Concord and Kannapolis.

All of our employees get to know your loved ones personally and are able to provide individualized care.

Adults that want the comfort of home, with the added benefit of around-the-clock care and medication management will enjoy the Carriage House Family Care Apartments. These apartments have the same layout as the independent living apartments; however, the six units are fully-licensed so that medications can be provided, residents may be assisted with bathing, and a staff member is present for any resident need.

Independent living apartments are perfect for adults that do not need assistance with activities of daily living or medication management, but want freedom from the upkeep of a lawn and large house. At LaMoor, residents have a private apartment with a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, and living room.
