The seeds for the creation of Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran High School were sown during the summer of 1975 when two couples were moved to determine the feasibility of starting a Lutheran high school in the Green Bay area. They conducted a survey which revealed sufficient interest in Christian secondary education.
Out of a meeting at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, a steering committee was formed, and NEWLHS was on its way to becoming a reality! In 1977, we started out with 34 students while located at Pilgrim Lutheran School. Our school changed locations three other times before settling in at the current location on Green Bay's east side in 1993.

Our Mission is Helping Families Prepare Christian Leaders. We are honored by the trust that parents put in our faculty and staff and we believe, wholeheartedly, that our role is to come along side the family to support and affirm the work they do in the home. With a teaching perspective that God's Word is true and without fault, we are able to share this belief with our students and their families.

NEW Lutheran High is blessed to have the support of 10 Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod congregations from all over Northeastern Wisconsin. Each congregation provides spiritual encouragement and care, volunteers at events, representation on our Board of Directors and financial resources towards the operation of the school.
Scholarships & Aid

Scholarships are available for new and returning students from all backgrounds. Through the generosity of an NEWLHS alumni, Zoe Means Life scholarships of varying amounts are available to incoming Freshmen students. Zoe was the newborn daughter of our benefactor's friend who passed away after health complications cut her young life short.
