Divorce Generally
Report
A divorce is one of the most significant events someone experiences in life. At stake are the most important personal and life-altering issues. The results may forever affect your life, your financial future, and the lives of your children. Choosing to have counsel and selecting the right attorney are crucial decisions.
Divorce Procedures
Report
Under Arizona law, A.R.S. §25-329, the Court cannot consider entering a decree of dissolution unless and until 60 days have passed since the date of service of process. If you and your spouse can reach an agreement on all issues within that time, then it is possible your divorce could be final within a short time after those 60 days have passed.
Spousal Maintenance Alimony
Report
Determining if someone has a valid claim for spousal maintenance is very different than determining if someone has a claim for child support. The answers to a few questions will determine a right to receive child support, but determining a right to spousal maintenance involves significant detailed analysis.
