With over 35 years in Denver's funeral industry, Mark Pipkin established Pipkin Mortuary in 1979. A graduate of Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, he developed the revolutionary 'Funeral March' presentation style and remains active in local Masonic and church communities.

Alvin L. Braswell

Co-Founder & Funeral Director

Alvin Braswell brings 38 years of funeral service experience, starting with Bradby Funeral Service in Virginia. A Gupton-Jones College graduate and Air Force veteran, he served as Pipkin Mortuary's General Manager for 20 years before co-founding the current establishment.

While my family member was not physically at this funeral home, the staff here were absolutely wonderful to help me deal with matters of a family member death in another state; Suranetta especially. She and Tori were very kind to me as I navigated dealing with a death in another state as next of kin. The actual funeral home with my loved ones body was not helpful at all. From this experience, I have directed my loved ones that if I die in CO, please utilize Pipkin Braswell. Thank you!

I highly recommend! This funeral home went above and beyond for my fathers funeral. Unlike other funeral homes, when we came in they were happy to serve us and we felt nothing but their compassion and understanding about how important my dad was. They made sure to do things quickly as we had a viewing for my dad and they wanted to make sure he looked like himself and boy did they do a good job. My father looked so peaceful. Other funeral homes forgot our appointment and they were so cold to my mother and me. Both owners, Alvin and Mark are the sweetest, most diligent directors, and the staff

The Service provided was exceptional considering the short amount of time Alvin was working with. We appreciate the fact that he explained the entire process, options we had available as well as being able to answer all of the questions we asked him! Him as well as his staff communicated with compassion during this time which was also appreciated! The services offered here have been utilized by my family on more than one occasion and my family continues to appreciate how Alvin goes above and beyond each time!
