The Mechanicsburg Kung Fu Center is a full-time Professional Martial Arts School teaching Pai Lum Kung Fu, Pai Lum Tai Chi, and Modern Arnis. It is an authorized branch of the Harrisburg Kung Fu Center, mirroring the teaching methods, curriculum, and commitment to providing the very best Martial Arts instruction for our students.

Owned and operated by Brian Lahr, a senior student of Michael J. Rothermel (Pai, Pono-Li) and Millie Ramos-Rothermel (Pai, Mana-Li), owners of the Harrisburg Kung Fu Center since 1982. Mr. Lahr has committed himself entirely to his dream of running a Pai Lum Kung Fu School. Mr. Lahr started training at the Harrisburg Kung Fu Center directly after leaving the military serving in the United States Marine Corps.

Pai Lum Kung Fu

Pai Lum Kung Fu, also known as White Dragon Fist Style Kung Fu, is a traditional Chinese martial art passed down through generations of the Pai family. The late Grandmaster Daniel K. Pai had devoted over 50 years to the development of the Chinese martial arts. His family's system of kicking, sweeping, punching, blocking, and joint locking techniques provide a means for development as a complete martial arts practitioner.
Modern Arnis
Report
Modern Arnis, also called Kali or Eskrima, is a Filipino style of empty hand fighting, stick fighting, knife fighting, joint locking, and much more. While Arnis is taught within the Kung Fu curriculum, it is a self-defense system that can stand alone or work in conjunction with any other Martial Art.
Children's Class

Martial Arts for children can provide many positive benefits besides basic self-defense. It is an excellent impetus to develop pride, willpower, and a strong work ethic in your child. At the Mechanicsburg Kung Fu center, we provide the motivation and support for your child to facilitate the process.
Virtual Classes

Can't attend class in person due to time constraints or health reasons? Don't worry, the Mechanicsburg Kung Fu Center offers all students the ability to attend live class virtually. Instructors will explain and modify movements specific to those training from home, even allowing questions in real time, making lessons accessible to everyone.
Free Intro Class
Report
A 45-minute class will provide a basic introduction to any of the art forms taught. This class will provide an excellent and thorough understanding to start grasping some of the basic concepts and principles. With a base and foundation, it will allow you to begin your training more comfortably.

Setting proper body mechanics through postural exercises and providing alignment to allow a better understanding of the spine and how the body was supposed to be utilized for both martial and daily use.Formal breathing training to ensure the breathing process is correct and to start the body on correcting itself internally.
