Fishing-guy
Of all the Florida guides I've fished with, Capt Fred is easily the best in terms of knowledge of the fishery, teaching you how to fish, and being a lot of fun to fish with. I have been lucky enough to fish all over North America for everything from Crappies to Mako Shark. I can honestly say I can't recall a better fishing experience than I have had on his boat.

I have charted fishing guides in 3 different countries on countless occasions. Captain Fred guided my 11 year old daughter and myself on a day when a southerly wind came up and no one else was catching fish. The boat and gear was first rate and this was by far the best charter. Many thanks Frenchy.

About The Fishing Guy
Report
This cobia was caught during a TV show with Dean Travis Clark, nationally known Outdoor Sports writer! Since 1985, Captain Fred has been fishing daily in the waters surrounding Daytona Beach and the nearby community of New Smyrna Beach.

In addition to the coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Ponce Inlet, the region's outlet to the sea, Captain Fred has actively fished the area's rich inshore saltwater estuaries including the world famous Mosquito Lagoon, the Indian River, the Banana River and Spruce Creek.
The Boat
Report
Captain Fred's boat of choice is the EdgeWater 240IS. It's design makes it the ideal boat for fishing inshore. However, this model has the capability of navigating offshore as well. The 240IS offers Captain Fred the features he desires in a charter boat: two live wells, locking rod boxes and a shallow-water anchor.
Charters & Rates
Report
The Charters can be Inshore, Nearshore or Offshore/Deep Sea fishing trips, depending on conditions, the seasons, your preferences and most importantly where the fish are biting! TO RUN NEARSHORE, following the shrimp boats (that attract tarpon, sharks, and cobia) add $70 (for extra gas). Remember, Daytona Beach is NOT a Port City!
