The Credit Union was founded by the employees of Saco-Lowell Shops for the benefit of their employees and members of their immediate families and organizations of such persons. Several small industrial groups were added to the Field of Membership over the next 48 years.
Saco Valley Credit Union was approved for the change from a federal to a state charter, and expanded its field of membership to include individuals living or working in the communities of Buxton, West Buxton, Dayton, Hollis, South Hollis, Lyman, Saco, Waterboro and North Waterboro, Maine; and members of the immediate families of such individuals.Saco Valley Credit Union merged with Nissen Employees Federal Credit Union.

Interest rates below apply to unsecured loans for the purposes of Debt Consolidation, Vacation, Single Payment Notes, Computer etc. Overdraft provides protection from checking overdrafts and related charges. Rates are effective 08/11/2020 and subject to change without notice. Loans for less than $7,500 have a maximum term of 48 months and loans greater than $7,500 have a maximum term of 60 months.
