Eye Medical Center has been where I've gone for great eye care for years! But when I moved from San Jose to Berkeley in 2019, I wasn't sure I would still want to make the trek for my yearly eye exam. I'm happy to have remained a patient here! The care at Eye Medical is thorough, personable and reassuring. And after six years, it was definitely time for me to get a new pair of glasses this fall! I first met with one of the frame stylists, Jannette, who really took her time studying my insurance plan, showing me a variety of frames in different styles and price ranges, and then finalizing

I've been going here for 5+ years, both for routine vision checks and the occasional eye health issue. For the latter, they have gotten me in quickly--a godsend when you're in pain--and for the former, Dr. Deane has consistently done a great job of explaining the options and giving me sample contacts to try out. I was recently reminded of their excellent customer service. The office ordered new contacts for me but the supplier sent the wrong ones. Even I didn't catch that upon picking them up, they had such similar packaging! After numerous calls with the manufacturer and distributor

Had my appointment on jun 26th. I was told that I'd have my new glasses in 2 weeks. It's now July 30th and I had to call to get an update. This after office staff told me two weeks ago that the lab had screwed up the order and it would be 4 days delayed. So the office staff put me on hold to speak with lab and I will get my glasses on Monday. The team needs to work on how they manage communication and expectations.
