Founded in 1914 by Charles Shubat, SHUBAT TRANSPORTATION has grown to provide contract school bus transportation for school districts, as well as charter transportation for private groups.

Shubat Transportation Company has a long, rich history of providing quality bus transportation. Our story begins in 1913 in the small Northern Minnesota mining town of Hibbing. Charles Shubat, a young immigrant from Yugoslavia, began his bus business with a Ford eight-passenger bus. His earliest routes took passengers from North Hibbing to Kerr, Carson Lake, Leetonia, and Morton locations, which were just west of Hibbing.
Motorcoach

Our large coaches seat 56 passengers. These coaches are a perfect way to travel across Minnesota or the country! They feature comfortable reclining seats with arm rests and foot rests, a climate controlled interior, a restroom, and large storage areas. They are also equipped with a DVD player with multiple monitors throughout the coach.
School Bus

Shubat Transportation Company provides daily school bus routes and transportation for sports teams for area school districts. Our fleet of late-model school buses passes a rigorous state inspection annually, as well as daily inspections. Our drivers receive on-going training throughout the year to ensure a safe ride for the hundreds of students we transport daily.
Transit

Shubat Transportation Company operates transit service for the city of Hibbing. Transit bus service is available 7 days a week within the city limits. Transit buses are handicap accessible and wheelchair lift equipped. We operate both a Dial-A-Ride service and a route bus. To schedule a pickup, call the dispatch office at 218-263-7115 at least two hours in advance.
Employment

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, pass a background check, have a good driving record, pass a DOT physical, and pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. We are looking for positive, friendly people with great customer service skills. You must be reliable, conscientious, and detail oriented.
