Services
Lawn Care
Our comprehensive lawn care program delivers year-round health through six seasonal treatments. Using professional-grade fertilizers and micronutrient packages, we strengthen root systems while preventing weed infestations. Each application adapts to local weather patterns, ensuring optimal absorption and growth. Our approach balances soil chemistry to maintain vibrant color and density across Washtenaw County's diverse grass types.
Weed Control
Targeted weed control combines pre-emergent and spot treatments to eliminate invasive species. Our technicians identify specific lawn invaders, applying selective herbicides that protect desired grasses. The four-step process begins with crabgrass prevention in spring, followed by progressive treatments that adapt to seasonal growth cycles and temperature variations throughout Ann Arbor.
Tree & Shrub Care
Customized tree and shrub programs protect against pests and diseases through five strategic treatments. Dormant oil applications in early spring prevent insect infestations, while seasonal deep root fertilization delivers essential nutrients directly to root zones. Our integrated approach combats common Michigan threats like aphids and fungal infections, preserving landscape aesthetics and plant health.
Aeration
Core aeration services improve soil structure and water penetration using professional-grade equipment. We perform this service twice annuallyspring and fallto alleviate compaction, enhance nutrient absorption, and promote deeper root development. This essential maintenance step ensures lawns withstand Michigan's temperature extremes while maintaining resilience against pests and disease.
Grub Control
Our grub control program offers both preventative and curative solutions for Japanese beetle larvae. Applying targeted treatments during peak egg-laying periods, we break the lifecycle before root damage occurs. The service includes follow-up inspections to ensure complete eradication, protecting lawns from unsightly brown patches and structural weakening caused by grub feeding.

Had several companies before The Turf Guys, once I hired them my lawn finally looks nice. Before I had lots of bare spots, brown spots, and lots of insects.

I live in Saline MI. I love these guys. They have struck the perfect balance between keeping my yard pleasant to look at for my neighbors and keeping it safe for the birds and other critters who I enjoy visiting my lawn. In a perfect world I would probably just let it go, Im fond of dandelions but for me The Turf Guys are the next best thing. They also employ the most polite young people. I once tried to tip one of their workers and he refused stating, thank you maam but I am paid very well to do this work I mean, wow. I dont think Ive heard anyone else say that in my life
