Our love of all things trees is what got us into the arborist business, but we can't save them all. Sometimes a tree has got to go. From technical pruning to hazard removals and more, we have your tree needs covered. In urban settings, trees sometimes require a little help in matters of shape, safety, and strength.
Thinning increases forest accessibility, promotes individual tree health, and it can mitigate the risk of wildland fire and resultant property damage. Tyler and Jen Quintano are the backbone of Sand Creek Tree Service. Over the last decade, they've watched their business grow alongside the community and trees of North Idaho, ever grateful to call Sandpoint home.

Hazard Tree & Limb Removal
Report
Tree removal is often a hazardous endeavor, especially in neighborhood settings. Structures, fences, landscaping, and other trees must be avoided. It's better to have a highly trained arborist remove a tree in a controlled manner than have that dead, rotting or leaning tree come down on its own. Sand Creek Tree Service specializes in removing hazard trees in confined settings.
Forest Thinning
Report
Thinning increases forest accessibility and is aesthetically pleasing-creating the "parked out" effect. It also promotes individual tree health by reducing competition for nutrients and light. And thinning a forest can mitigate the risk of wildland fire and resultant property damage. There's a term for the impenetrable tree stands common in North Idaho: "dog hair."

Often, clients would like a quote over the phone or via email. Or they want to know our hourly or daily rate. Unfortunately, tree work is complex. Offering an estimate on the phone would make all our lives easier, but it wouldn't be an accurate assessment of the job at hand. What obstacles might keep us from completing the work?

Report
As arborists, our work provides infinite variety. One day, we may be pruning delicate fruit trees, and the next we might be removing a 100-year-old Douglas fir tucked into a tight alley. Some days, we have to lean heavily on our physical stamina, whereas other jobs might rely on hydraulics and torque.
