Our approach prioritizes non-surgical solutions while offering surgical options when necessary, ensuring lasting relief for active individuals.
Sports Injuries
Comprehensive care for sports-related foot and ankle injuries including sprains, stress fractures, and tendonitis. We develop sport-specific rehabilitation programs and provide preventive guidance, helping athletes of all levels return to peak performance while reducing future injury risks through biomechanical assessments.
Diabetic Foot Care
Proactive prevention and treatment of diabetes-related foot complications including neuropathy, ulcers, and infections. Our services range from routine checkups and custom footwear to advanced wound care and limb salvage surgery. We emphasize early intervention and patient education to prevent amputations, combining regular monitoring with specialized treatments like platelet-rich plasma therapy for optimal healing outcomes.
Custom Orthotics
Precision-crafted orthotic devices using computerized gait analysis and digital scanning technology. These customized inserts correct biomechanical imbalances, alleviate pain from conditions like flat feet or bunions, and enhance athletic performance. We also offer prefabricated options for minor discomforts, ensuring proper arch support and pressure distribution tailored to each patient's unique foot structure and activity level.

Non-invasive treatment using Multiwave Locked System technology to reduce inflammation and accelerate healing for conditions like plantar fasciitis, arthritis, and post-surgical recovery. We treat all foot and ankle conditions including heel pain, sports injuries, diabetic complications, bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, and ankle sprains using both conservative and surgical approaches.
Do you accept my insurance?
We work with most major insurance providers. Contact our office for specific verification of your coverage and to understand any out-of-pocket costs for specialized treatments or custom devices.
What happens during my first visit?
Your initial consultation includes a comprehensive examination, medical history review, and necessary imaging. We'll discuss diagnosis findings and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific condition and lifestyle needs.

Many diagnostic services and treatments are Medicare-covered. We'll confirm your specific benefits before starting care and help navigate any required pre-authorizations for procedures like custom orthotics or surgical interventions.
How do you handle urgent foot problems?
While we don't provide 24/7 emergency care, we prioritize same-day appointments for acute injuries. For severe trauma outside office hours, we recommend visiting the nearest emergency room before follow-up care with our team.

Highly experienced, professional experience by the physician, the medical assistant and the office staff. Options for.nonsurgical intervention are always the first option offered. I would not go to any other podiatrist in the Springs.

As a family, we were unfortunate enough to have both of our kids injured at the same time. Same foot, both happened running - but different injuries. We were VERY FORTUNATE enough to find Dr. McVay and staff. I can't say enough good things about the entire staff. They, including Dr. McVay, talked to our kids, not just my husband or myself. My kids were talked to and made a part of their treatment. My son is done with his care but we still have a little bit to go with my daughter. It is comforting to know that she is in very good hands (for her foot)!!

The new doctor here ( Dr. Candace Cooper) is absolutely horrible. Number #1- shes completely incompetent to practice medicine let alone perform surgery on someone. She also doesnt understand that pain is subjective and that a foot surgery which requires the breaking of bones / shaving off of bones is incredibly painful. You do need beyond a Tylenol and Motrin order for a foot surgery and an orthopedic surgeon telling you that a foot surgery isnt major and you dont have pain because she said so is I kid you not beyond ridiculous . If you want to be in massive uncontrollable pain than

Dr. McVay is very personable and did a great job on my foot. I love his nurse, too. She took my stitches out today and it didn't hurt at all. I love everyone at this office. The receptionists are awesome, too! Thank you everyone for a great experience.

I HIGHLY recommend! I had a biopsy done on my ankle and they MA (Raton-I think was her name) was so amazing! I am terrified of needles and she was so gentle with me and checked in with me. Dr. McVay was very kind too and I would decently go back! The front staff was very friendly and patient with all my questions!
