For the past twelve years, I have been teaching Drivers Education primarily in the Kennebunk area. During that time, I have taught more than 1000 students from Kennebunk High School and have been operating my own driving school (Hamilton's Driving School) since February of 2005. Why send your son or daughter to Hamilton's Driving School?
I can offer you personal individualized instruction. Not only will your son or daughter be taught by me in the class room, but I will also be instructing them during their driving lessons. This will be done in a timely manner, usually within a three to five week period from start to finish. This is important because it enables the student to incorporate what they have learned in the classroom while driving in the car.

This lesson takes about an hour. We meet at the BMV. We prefer to take the student out in the vehicle that they will be using on their drivers test. We will have them parallel park, straight line back, lane change and see how they are doing over all. This lesson doesn't in any way guarantee that the student will pass, however this lesson will greatly help with their preparation.

Please keep in mind that whatever location you sign up for will be the location where your driving will be done. So for example, if you sign up for the Portland location but live in Kennebunk you will need to go to Portland to do your behind-the-wheel driving lessons. This is only for students who have a medical issue that could effect their driving.

At what age can a student start Drivers Ed? Maine Law requires all students to be 15 years of age on or before the first day of class to be enrolled in any driver education course. Students who have not turned fifteen by the date of the first class must wait until the next available course by state law.
