FROM OUR FAMILY 45th Parallel is a family-owned craft distillery in New Richmond, Wisconsin. CRAFTED IN TRADITION Our slow craft philosophy is evident in every drop. We have been perfecting our process since 2007. In 2007, 45th Parallel became one of only 50 Craft Distilleries in the United States.

Dedicated to traditional slow, small batch, we have grown to 2 locations and an event center. We are currently releasing whiskey at 4 years of age, using traditional aging techniques and medium char in Ozark White Oak barrels. The barrels are constructed from wood staves that are air dried three years. No Blending: The whiskey in our bottles is distilled in our pot alone using only our grain.

Our Process

45th Parallel's process is a full circle local production and begins when we pick up grain from Rusmar farm. We then mill, mash, ferment, and distill it all within our facility. Afterwards, the grain is shipped to another local farm where it is used as feed for livestock. Naturally, the livestock turn the grain into fertilizer for next year's crops.

Our distilling classes are designed to provide a foundation to individuals wanting to learn about distilling and the craft industry. As operators of a "grain-to-the-glass" distillery, we are able to provide the complete experience for prospective distillers. Production may be specific to whiskey or vodka, but process alterations may be made to simulate the production of desired spirits.
