Schmidt Aviation Inc. is a aircraft maintenance shop specializing in accomplishing maintenance on piston engine aircraft. We are experienced in all aspects of maintenance from routine items such as oil changes, tire replacements, etc. through major repairs such as engine changes, damage repairs, etc.
Of course, we accomplish progressive and annual inspections. We are owned, operated and managed by Ron and Tom Schmidt. We have been in the maintenance business on Fort Lauderdale's Executive Airport since 1980. Ron has been continually involved in the aircraft maintenance business since 1959. He holds an A& P license as well as an IA authorization.

Do you know how to safely load your plane? Fly Safely! FAA regulations require that you must have current weight and balance data on board your plane. Equipment is removed. New equipment is installed. Some wires are removed, some added. How can current weight and balance data be calculated? Unless your aircraft has been weighed recently, chances are that your weight and balance data isn't current.

Schmidt Airboats has been repairing airboats for the past 20 years. Tom Schmidt started with building his first airboat. From there, with his background in aircraft engine repair, he naturally evolved into adding airboat repair to his repertoire. From then until now, repair of airboats has grown into a large part of our business employing 2 full time mechanics.
