I bring over 25 years of experience as an educator and my deep-seated passion for teaching to all my students. I originally entered the teaching profession to share my love of science and to get kids excited about it. However, it didn't take long to find teaching offered so much more. I have a B.S. in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Utah and worked in a biology lab while earning my degree.

I taught middle school science in Salt Lake City School District where I was nominated twice for" Teacher of the Year." In addition, I have taught in the Park City area for the last 14 years in a variety of capacities. I hold a current Teaching License in the state of Utah and am endorsed in secondary science, and am first-aid and CPR certified.

Summer Camps
Report
The great outdoors will be our classroom where students will have the opportunity to explore, experience and learn about nature. Below are partial descriptions of the camps currently being offered and some of the specific activities relevant to each camp. In the event of inclement weather some activities may be modified.
General Information
Report
Inspiring young people to explore, discover, and inquire about their natural world. Science, learning and the outdoors is what sets these camps apart from others. My goal is to provide quality camps that combine science, learning and fun in a setting where the amazing outdoor spaces that surround us serve as the main classroom.
Tutoring
Report
Each student is an individual and has different learning styles and needs. I believe all students are capable of succeeding in what are considered the "tough" subjects like math and science when given the right help and support. I work closely with the student, as well as the teacher(s) and parent(s) to identify where support is needed, the best way to provide it, and then create an individualized plan for success.
Testimonials
Report
Mindy Holbrook is an amazing teacher who motivated and inspired our daughter with the wonders of Harry Potter. The camp was full of fun activities intertwined with learning everyday. Our child was so excited to go to camp each morning and came home with stories, experiments, and non-stop engagement about the wonders of the day.
Other Camps
Report
Sometimes I offer camps during breaks throughout the school year. Please check back! Winter break camp includes winter science topics and activities. Examples are: What do animals do in the winter? Snow study and growing crystals, making igloos, making ice-cream, experiments that are winter and snow related, and more.
