Bicycles take many forms depending on their intended use, and currently I'm building frames and forks for on and off-road riding: touring, cyclo-cross, "gravel grinding", mountain biking. Frames can be designed for very specific purposes such as time trialing or can be designed and built as a multi-purpose ride to handle a variety of terrain.

O'Leary Custom Built Mountain Bikes are built for all day comfort and performance - in the dirt. Currently all frames are 100% fillet brazed, using a 44 millimeter headtube, and 73 millimeter standard English threaded bottom bracket. Drop-outs come in a variety of styles but typically we use thru-axle styles.
Roadster Bikes

O'Leary Custom Built Roadster Bicycles are designed for on-road/off-road use and the urban environment with a more upright posture than typical road bikes. We take our basic road frame design and make it compatible with upright handle bars, wider tires and braze-ons for racks and fenders. Comfort and efficiency are top of mind when building these utilitarian, human-powered vehicles.

Our process starts with a conversation with you about goals and aspirations for a custom bike. We discuss the pros and cons of any of your current rides, what type of riding you plan to do on your new O'Leary bike. And we will identify any postural issues or problems with cycling we can address in the new frame.
