Dr. Butler is a highly trained and experienced Optometrist. He has been practicing Optometry for over 15 yrs. He has received four degrees including two Bachelors from the University of Cincinnati, a doctorate from the New England College of Optometry, and Famiy Practice Residency from Northeastern State College of Optometry.

Scleral lenses are large diameter rigid gas permeable lenses that range from 14 mm to over 20 mm in diameter. Large diameter scleral lenses offer certain advantages over corneal lenses. These are called floaters and they may take a number of shapes and are most apparent when looking at a solid background. They are the shadow of small clots of gel or cells in the fluid that composes the inside of the eye.
