Cristo Rey's halls were filled with our newest Lions participating in our Puente orientation program last month. All freshmen and transfer sophomores spent two weeks in July preparing for life at Cristo Rey. They took introductory math and English classes to brush up on the basics and get them caught up for the fall.
Students also took Freshman Seminar, a non-academic class with the goal of acclimating our students to CRNYHS and our expectations. Lions participated in CWSP training as well, learning essential skills for the workplace. Most importantly, they started to get to know each other. Puente concluded with a festive field day on Randall's Island, complete with games, competitions, and tie dye!
