NAEYC is deeply grateful to all of the groups and individuals who contributed to this effort. During self-study, We will use tools and resources provided to examine our program, using the NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and Accreditation Criteria as your measure of quality.

Wonderful Virginia Academy teachers are trained and enthusiastic individuals who have been selected not only for their educational backgrounds and experiences but also for their understanding of and dedication to young children. Many of our lead teachers and all of our management possess a Child Development Associate (CDA), or hold an Associates or a Bachelor's degree in Education or in an Early Childhood related field.
Head Start

At Wonderful Virginia Academy, we provide a nationally-sponsored program called "Head Start". This program is specially designed to meet the needs of pregnant women and their child from birth up to the age of 3. The program aims to foster the healthy physical and intellectual advancement of the child through services that largely involve family participation such as volunteering in classroom activities, parent meetings and policy councils.

We are a participating Civilian Child Care Center that meets the standards set forth by the Army Child and Youth Services system.
