My partner and I heard about Got2Lindy from a "Nextdoor Neighbor" request I put out regarding private dance lessons for our first dance. My partner and I had never danced together before, really, and my partner sort of always shied away from dancing in general. Anyhow we are having a small adventure reception but wanted a polished dance. I absolutely love dancing and it is just so fun. So we looked them up and did an initial drop in dance "class". It was absolutely great - they asked us a few questions, helped us pick out our song and showed us a few simple moves to get us

Our dance went amazingly well!! Our guests were so impressed and said it was the highlight of the night. My uncle who owns a wedding venue for many years said it was the best first dance he's ever seen! We smiled the whole way through and didn't miss a beat! When I came to my first swing dance class with Linda and Chester, I had low confidence levels in my ability to connect and interact with other people, and in my capacity to belong to a community. I felt uncomfortable and ashamed of not bringing a partner to dance with; in Linda and Chester's class, that was no problem. While I embraced that uncertainty of jumping into a new community and a new type of dancing, the people in my classes and Linda and Chester were most generous in their support for me.
