Call
Dr. Seivert prides himself on providing personal, hands-on examination, diagnosis, and treatment to patients of all ages. He knows that with most orthopedic conditions, there is often more than one form of treatment available. He spends time with his patients discussing all the possible options to find the most effective, personalized treatment plan.

As a surgeon, Dr. Seivert is great! But the reason I see him and have had my children, parents, and friends go see him is because of his post surgery care. He calls often to see how you're doing and to make sure your rehab exercises are helping with your recovery. Dr. Seivert's background and personal experience in athletics enables him to better understand the sports related injuries.

Meniscus Tear
Report
There are two menisci in your knee; each rests between the thigh bone (femur) and shin bone (tibia). The menisci are made of tough cartilage and conform to the surfaces of the bones upon which they rest. One meniscus is on the inside of your knee (medial), and the other meniscus rests on the outside of your knee (lateral).
Chondromalacia
Report
Chondromalacia is due to an irritation of the undersurface of the kneecap, which normally is covered with a layer of smooth cartilage. This cartilage, when correctly functioning, glides effortlessly across the knee during bending of the joint. However, in some individuals, the kneecap tends to rub against one side of the knee joint, and the cartilage surface becomes irritated.
