Aviation Classics
Aviation Classics provides fueling services to the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Forest Service, Reno National Championship Air Races, Reno Pylon Racing School as well as General And Corporate Aviation. The FAA granted the North Dakota Department of Commerce team a Certificate of Waiver or Authorization (COA) to begin using a Draganflyer X4ES small UAS at its Northern Plains Unmanned Aircraft Systems Test Site.

The COA is effective for two years. Northern Nevada's premier full service FBO, FAA Repair Station and Avionics Shop is located on Reno-Stead Airfield just 10 miles NW of Downtown Reno, NV. We offer a wide range of services to the aviation community including Repair & Maintenance, Avionics Sales and Service, Aircraft Recovery/Storage, Warbird Restoration, as well as being the exclusive provider of Phillips66 aviation products on the airport.

The business got its start in 1979 by Al Redick, Sr. who came to Reno from Southern California, to restore what was once Bill Harrah's P-38 Lightning. It was then that he started CIA Aviation at Reno-Stead Airfield which later became Aviation Classics, Ltd in 1987. In 1989 the family run business was turned over to son Alby Redick who has maintained the chapter 8(a) minority owned company for more than 20 years.

In our daily course of business, ACL offers complete avionics upgrades, to include pre-planning, equipment specification, customer interface, wiring harness design and fabrication, panel layout, panel fabrication, stress analysis, painting and installation.

ACL provides support for the general aviation community, supports the Department of Forestry fire suppression industry, local Law Enforcement, and the Army National Guard at our Stead Facility, with Jet-A and Avgas fuel service, aircraft tiedown, full service maintenance, avionics installation and repair, aircraft modification, drone instrumentation installation and test, sheetmetal shop, welding, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronics repair services, and parts department.

Aviation Classics manages 125,000 of the more than 2 million square feet of ramp at Reno-Stead Airfield. With that much space you will not have any troubles finding a place to park your aircraft. Alby Redick, owner of Aviation Classics, ACL, traveled in Soviet Block, purchased 21 different soviet Jet Fighter Aircraft for DOD & returned them to the U.S.
