If they are unsure, we will help them find music that speaks to them and is appropriate for their level. KTL offers private lessons for a variety of instruments and works to develop a love and appreciation for music beyond simply learning which notes to play. We emphasize counting, rhythm, healthy technique, ear training, creativity, improvisation and music appreciation. We take a holistic approach to teaching the piano that centers around popular method and theory books (Faber, Bastien, and Suzuki). Our approach to voice lessons is based on the Vocal Mastery Method: KTL's Unique Program for Developing Successful Singers. Our voice lessons also include vocal exercises, performance practices, and coaching for auditions, competitions, and performances of any sort. Ukulele

Our ukulele lessons are similar to our guitar lessons. Students learn the parts of the instrument, strumming, and fingerstyle. They learn how to read music with standard notation and tablature (tab), a form of notation that shows where the notes are played on the instrument itself. We also teach students singing and playing and improvisation.
