Founded in 2016 in the Union Park Neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Augustine's is a chef driven neighborhood bistro serving handcrafted food and cocktails skillfully created from carefully curated fresh seasonal ingredients. Augustine's is built upon a foundation that honors diversity, equity in compensation and equal opportunity for all.
Abandoning the outdated gratuity model that has over the years hampered the hospitality industry and has been a source of discrimination, all menu prices are service inclusive allowing Augustine's to provide excellent wages, benefits and work/life balance for our hardworking team. It is our hope that our guests will embrace these positive changes as we move toward a more equitable society for all.

I dined here with friends last night and had an amazing meal. The "aviator" cocktail was wonderful and the "young hen" large plate was scrumptious and the perfect size for dinner. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. I can't think of anything to say that isn't positive. There is no tipping because the cost of the meal covers good pay and benefits for the staff, yet it was quite affordable for the quality of the food. I highly recommend!

This place was surprisingly good! Definitely a surprise for a not as well known restaurant. The decor was cute but the lights were a bit bright for dinner. We started with a couple of cocktails which were amazing. The corn chowder was so tasty - thick, creamy, sweet and a little spicy from the jalapeño. The curry gnocchi was also very good, we were scraping the plate to get all the sauce. The duck l'orange was incredibly juicy although the parsnips that it came with were very undercooked. We ended with the apple spice cake which I wish had been warmed. The ice cream was very good though!

This is a really good neighborhood spot in St. Paul near St. Thomas. They have a new chef and menu and it is definitely worth checking it out.
They have house made cocktails and wine by the bottle or glass. We tried the thyme gimlet and the giardiniera martini. Wow, these were both so good!
There are a number of sampler plates. The beef tartare was good and the fries- we ate every last one! Excellent.
You can pick from five or six main plates. We had the skate wing and the mussels. The mussels were very good. Great broth with celery and olives. Very delicious. The skate wing

I just checked this place out with some friends, and we were all sold! We were originally drawn by the all included pricing (includes better wages and benefits for employees without surprise surcharge at the end) model.
The space is great with a fun vibe. The food was really good- we tried 3 appetizers, 4 mains, and 2 desserts and enjoyed them all A LOT.
I think our favorite, however, was the drinks. Pure ecstasy!
Only suggestion for the future is a bit more expansive menu. Great for our first visit, but we want to come back and keep trying new stuff!
Quick edit to give a shout-out to the

I have been going to Augustines since they originally opened. They have always had a great diversity of choices on the menu. I just went there for dinner since they had re-opened post-Covid. There is a new chef and a new menu. The feel of the restaurant is the same, but many, actually all, the old favorites have disappeared. What was ordered was good, but a bit pricier then pre-Covid. The salads have all gone away. The chicken wings are gone. and the best part of the Augustine Burger was the homemade ketchup that no longer exists either. I like the restaurant and will go back, but I am not happy

My brother Dave was in town. Wanted to try something different from the usual fare he is used to having. Asked if I had been to Augustine's. Off we go. W daughter Madison too.
Here's what we had. Sirloin w Asparagus and whipped potatoes. Absolutely superb. Ordered rare and berenese sauce was tasty as heck.
Madison got the burger but didn't finish it because she ate a bunch just before. So... I had a bunch of that too. It was so dang good!
Brother ordered mussels and I had one. It was quite well done w bruschetta style bread to soak up the broth. Yum.

What better way to celebrate your 40th wedding anniversary than with a delightful meal at a nice restaurant? We thought we'd try a place we hadn't been to and weren't disappointed. Spring Pickle small plate, sirloin steak, poussin, and topped off with a lovely desert -- key lime rhubarb torte and vanilla bean pana cotta. A friendly, attentive wait staff, unrushed dining, and a lovely atmosphere. Cheers!

I recently moved to MN and have been eyeing this spot ever since I moved to the neighborhood. I'm glad I did. I had the Sunrise Burger and my friend got the Veggie Mac. The burger was juicy and the ingredients were fresh. The egg on top was cooked perfectly! The veggie Mac was also excellent. Al dente, and the cheese was very well balanced. This place is a gem in our neighborhood and we will be back soon to check out the bakery.

Even though Augustine's has been around for a few years I am unable to speak to the dine in experience here. That said, since Covid has struck, Augustine's has become a staple in our takeout rotation.
The menu has been downsized a bit, but it's well suited for the takeout game and pretty much everything on the menu travels well. They make a solid burger (both the Augustine's burger and lamb burger are good, just be sure to ask for your temp preference), their fries are fantastic, and the rotating risotto/mac and cheese are always consistent comfort food and generously portioned

I met some of my girlfriends here for happy hour turned dinner and had a fantastic time! The neighborhood it is in made it easier to find parking, which I definitely appreciated.
For dinner, myself and another both ordered the burger that was on the happy hour menu and it was absolutely fantastic and super filling! I also got a old fashioned and it was great.
The location never got too crowded but it was definitely full for a weeknight.
I would definitely recommend heading back to this location for meal! Really curious about their bakery items!

Been here twice and have been impressed both times! The food is delicious and the drinks are well crafted. Happy hour Monday!!
The ambience here is also wonderful. It is classy without feeling pretentious or snooty. I would highly recommend it for family dinner, date night, or even a solo night cap and snack.
NACHO AVERAGE MONDAY:
Nachos were pretty good. The queso and cotija cheese on top are a great combo. Nachos are simple, but filling and the carnitas is flavorful (for a non-Mexican restaurant). Better than I expected.
Not a fan of their play on an old fashioned though. It was spiced and

Augustine's is a charming restaurant. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The casual atmosphere was very warm and inviting. What really got me excited was that it's the only restaurant that I've been to where I've been able to get my favorite beer. I was overjoyed and in disbelief when I saw it on the menu!
The food was really delicious. I had Augustine's burger and thought it was prepared nicely. I also appreciated that they actually cooked the patty to my liking, whereas it seems common for other places to not cook the meat as long as I prefer.
So while I had

Typical St. Paul charm and offers reasonable prices and a variety of selection. The happy hour is very good. This is a really comfortable place with a really wide spread from drinks, food, and baked items.
We had the HH wings and they were really good. We had the Augustine burger and it was good, not great. It's just pretty plain.
The staff was very good at their job and the varying specials each night makes this is really wonderful neighborhood spot. I could definitely come back and be happy. It's nothing amazing but everything solid.

I had never heard of this hippo-centric restaurant and don't know how it could have flown in under the radar. Went here for brunch and was super impressed by the food and the service.
This place is downright cute. I was curious about all the hippo decorations so I did some research. St. Augustine of Hippo. I got it. So, onto the food...I ordered the Brewer's Breakfast. This comes with 3 eggs any style, toast, American fires, and your choice of bacon or merguez sausage. I love bacon. Love it. But, get the merguez. It is absolutely delicious. It's got a little spice and a lot of
