Visit Mecosta's Premier Family-Owned Winery
Since 2003, The Winery at Young Farms has been dedicated to crafting high-quality wines rooted in Central Michigan's terroir. Founded by Mark and Abby Young, our operation began with a vision to prove that exceptional wine could thrive in this region. Combining Mark's meticulous approach to viticulture and winemaking with Abby's operational expertise, we transformed a vacant field into a 78-acre working farm featuring a historic barn-turned-winery. Our healthcare backgrounds instilled a commitment to precision, ensuring every bottle reflects our philosophy: quality requires the right people, materials, and equipment. We grow cold-hardy hybrid grape varietals and hand-pick blueberries for our estate-produced wines, sourcing additional grapes from trusted Michigan and California vineyards. Our team includes certified sommeliers and hospitality professionals who share our passion for creating approachable yet complex wines. From our French Oak barrels to our Italian-made tanks, every detail supports our mission to surprise and delight wine enthusiasts. We welcome visitors to experience our family-friendly venue, where our dogs Pinot and Teddy oversee operations, while emphasizing responsible enjoyment of our products.

The best winery & bang for your buck. We were so impressed with their hospitality for our bachelorette group. Wines/ciders/food were all so good & very reasonably priced. Outdoor seating was beautiful & had plenty of options (also dog friendly!) Will be back & will recommend to our friends!
