I'm Laurie Bailey and I have been a wedding photographer, portrait photographer, and Bar and Bat Mitzvah photographer since 2001. I was based in Los Angeles for many years, but recently relocated to gorgeous Santa Barbara. Now I'm thrilled to photograph people and events all over Southern and Central California.
I strive to capture images that are timeless and full of emotion, from the black and white documentary style images to the editorial style photos to classic "archival" family portrait. My goal is to deliver a gallery of photographs that truly captures every moment of your wedding day. Since opening my studio, I have photographed hundreds of events at numerous venues.

This portfolio of wedding photography is a collection of the many moments, brides, grooms, families and celebrations I have photographed over the years. As you can see from the gallery, I have photographed weddings at fancy hotels and small backyards, on the beach and in the mountains, from 500 guests to six guests.

Engagement photos are a great way to celebrate your engagement and get comfortable in front of the camera. Even if you are a person who is a bit "camera shy, " I always make sure that your engagement session is relaxed, fun and truly brings out your personalities.

Bar and Bat Mitzvahs hold a very special place in my heart. I have been photographing Bar and Bat Mitzvahs in Los Angeles for over fifteen years and there is nothing else quite like the day a young man or young woman is called to the Torah. The celebrations and parties may have evolved over the years, but the significance of this moment between childhood and young adulthood remains constant.
Belmond El Encanto

Tucked into the hillsides of Santa Barbara is one of the best wedding venues along the central coast. A favorite vacation spot for celebrities in the 1920s, the Belmond El has been lovingly restored to become one of the most celebrated resorts on the West Coast. The Spanish-colonial and Californian craftsman styles provide a relaxed but elegant venue for weddings and events.
Bel-Air Bay Club

The Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades is one of my favorite wedding venues in Southern California, hands down, and I have had the great honor of photographing weddings there since 2007. The backdrop and view of the Pacific Ocean is like no other in Los Angeles and when you add the romantic garden setting with lush florals and greenery, framed by magnificent palms and you have the perfect location for your celebration.
