Host families must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with English as the primary language, provide a private bedroom, pass background checks, and meet program guidelines for working hours and compensation.
How much does au pair childcare cost?
The total program fee is $10,390 with a $400 match processing fee. Families also pay au pairs a minimum weekly stipend of $225 and a $500 education stipend during the 12-month program.
What childcare experience do au pairs have?
All au pairs have at least 200 hours of documented childcare experience, pass in-person interviews, and complete 32 hours of specialized training including CPR and first aid certification.
How long does the matching process take?
Most families find a match within days using our online system and personalized placement specialist support. After matching, it takes approximately five weeks for the au pair to arrive.
What support is available after arrival?
Local Coordinators provide in-home orientation within two weeks, monthly check-ins, cultural events, and 24/7 emergency support. Regional Supervisors offer additional assistance when needed.
Can we extend our au pair program?
