Dr. Jeff Schoning was born and raised in Ravenna, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 1984 and graduated from Ohio State Dental School in 1988. He then completed a residency program at The Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Schoning returned to Columbus and was fortunate enough to join the practice of Dr. David Hoppenstand.
He enjoyed working alongside his mentor until Dr. Hoppenstand retired in 1995 and Dr. Schoing took over the practice fulltime. Dentistry continues to evolve and change, Dr. Schoning continues to keep-up with the latest technology. From digital radiographs and single appointment crowns, to the latest in teeth whitening products.

Excellent dentist and practice. I used to have a phobia of the dentist. They have cured it completely. This is the MOST COMPASSIONATE dental practice. Every single person from Dr Schoning on down is so kind, so gentle, so comforting. They are genuinely lovely and good people. I absolutely love them. Can’t find enough good things to say. I wish I could give 100 stars.

I have dental anxiety and asummed my kids would too. When I asked my sister-in-law, who is a dental assistant, who she would take HER kids to, she recommended Dr. Schoning. My family and I have been visiting his office for 30 yrs. The staff is wonderful.☺ (Cindy is my favorite for my anxiety.... ) and my kids have always had good experiences there. In fact, the next generation has her 1st appt. In April. 😍

I was introduced to my dentist a little over 15 years ago. I have always had trouble with getting X-rays of my mouth due to my gagging as soon as the films hit the side of my tongue. I never thought that I would ever get my teeth cleaned again!
Dr. Schoning and his staff are friendly and helpful. They are patient with me and have discovered that by using child size films, I am able to get through the X-ray portion of my dental visits!
The hygienist in the office are wonderful and they take care of you and your mouth! Love my dentists office!

Dr. Schoning has been my dentist for years. I have never met a more caring and skilled doctor! I am 65 and I've survived several dentists. Dr Schoning has completely fixed my teeth so I never have any issues! The staff is so friendly. They know my name when I come in. It's such a happy place! I never dread going to the dentist. It's a rare thing when you find this kind of care!

I cannot overstate my enthusiasm for Dr. Schoning and his team. He has been my dentist for all of the 15 years that I have so far lived in Columbus. All my routine needs have been met with skill and efficiency, but the experience of which I am most appreciative is his creation of a 3D-printed porcelain crown for a broken tooth. The entire process of preparing the tooth, designing the crown, fabricating and installing it took under two hours. Everyone in the office, from the schedulers, to the hygienists, to his technician, to Dr. Schoning himself is friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I&apos

I cannot recommend Dr. Schoning enough. I have been seeing him for 20+ years, despite NOT living in Columbus anymore! He did beautiful veneers for me over 15 years ago, and every single dentist I've had since has majorly complimented the work. Now I'm spoiled because I don't trust any other dentist's artistry with this kind of delicate, intricate work! I am so grateful to Dr. Schoning and would highly recommend him (and his friendly, professional office) to anyone.
