The Fairy Dogmother is a one-on-one grooming experience located in the North Deering Neighborhood of Portland, ME. In business since 2015 and started out of the owner's passion about caring for her own personal dog, we aim to provide a personal service for our customers. Our Cinderella service will give your pup a ballroom ready makeover!
This service includes everything our "Spa Day" does INCLUDING a full haircut based on your specifications or your dog's breed. Our Spa Day Plus includes everything our "Spa Day" does but allows us to trim whatever may be needed to neaten up your pup. Face trimming, feet trimming and bum or tail trimming will freshen up in between grooms or give your dog's feathers a sleek and clean look.

I am the owner and groomer at The Fairy Dogmother, LLC. As long as I can remember I loved animals, and especially bonded with dogs. I grew up around Shih Tzus, Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, Portuguese Water Dogs, Maltese, eventually choosing a Newfoundland as my own dog, Bruno. Bruno is the reason I own a grooming salon today.

Prices start at a base cost for each bath package and then any additional time spent due to temperament/behavior, coat condition and other factors. For those dogs who just need a pawdicure between grooms or grow their nails quickly we have our nail clipping and grinding services. Clipping is done with our very sharp trimmers - for $5 more add some paw balm to soothe and protect your pup's pads!

My dog got skunked in the middle of the night. After an DIY attempt at home without hydrogen peroxide, the results were not good! I called first thing in the morning and they were super helpful with tips, honest about results after water set in the smell. They took a same day appointment and I can tell you, my dog smelled so much better after!

The Fairy Dogmother, LLC is a by appointment, straight through grooming based shop. That means, like a human hairdresser, we book appointments based on how much time that dog should take from start to finish. We do not offer a traditional crate for your dog to wait in, instead we offer large gated "kennels" to give your pup ample room to lie down when they are done.
