Williston, ND, founded in 1887, was named for Daniel Willis James, a board member of the Northern Pacific Railroad Company, by his friend, railroad owner, James J. Hill. Williston is a city in and the county seat of Williams County, North Dakota. Northwestern North Dakota has experienced a oil boom in the last couple of years.

From the intersection of Dakota Parkway and 2nd Avenue West, go north on highway 85 approximately 2.5 miles, past Love's Truck Stop. Take a left on 60th Street NW. Go approximately 2.2 miles until you get to a small hill. Go past the hill and look for the red and white sign. Take a right at the red and white sign and the RV Park is at the end of the drive.
