During these unprecedented times, we have implemented a few changes to our office safety procedures to keep everyone safe. We are limiting contact as much as possible, sanitizing equipment, eyeglass frames, and surfaces in between patients, and restricting all visits to be by appointment only to ensure proper social distancing.

Our doctor and staff will have eyewear, face mask, and face shield on. If possible, reply to your appointment email with your photo ID and insurance cards (front and back) prior to your visit. Please continue to practice social distancing and frequent hand washing. If you or anyone in your household is experiencing any illness symptoms, please contact us to postpone your appointment.

About Us
Report
Dr. Tiffany Koon knew she wanted a career in health care ever since she was a child. She became passionate about eye care when she interned at a hospital eye clinic while in high school. She went on to pursue her career in optometry. She graduated 1 year early from New York University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and chemistry.
Eye Care
Report
A comprehensive eye exam should be done routinely every 1-2 years. Your eye doctor will make her recommendation based on your results. Contact lens exams are usually recommended every year to ensure the prescription and fit are accurate. If you have a medical condition that requires closer monitoring and/or treatment, your eye doctor may advise an eye exam more than once a year and may refer you to see an ophthalmologist.
Cataracts
Report
Cataracts are a very common eye condition that usually develop in people over age 55. It describes the clouding of the lens, which is located behind the colored part of the eye called the iris. Normally, the lens focuses light on the retina to provide clear vision. However, when a lens is clouded by a cataract, light is scattered, reducing focus and causing vision problems.
Contact Lens Fitting
Report
A contact lens fitting exam is necessary in order to determine the correct contact lens prescription for your eyes. During your exam, our doctor will determine your prescription and select a trial contact lens for you to try. She will check your vision and comfort in the contact lenses.

She will also evaluate how the contact lenses fit on your eyes, ensuring that they are not too tight or loose and that there is enough coverage around the cornea to prevent discomfort. Our doctor offers contact lenses with the latest technology because they are more breathable and comfortable for all day wear.
Dry Eye Clinic
Report
Dry eye syndrome is a very common and often chronic condition that occurs when there is an insufficient amount of quality tears to lubricate and nourish the eyes. Tears are necessary for maintaining the health of the front surface of the eye (cornea) and for providing clear vision.

Tear production tends to diminish due to age, hormonal changes (pregnancy, use of oral contraceptives, and menopause), medications (antihistamines, decongestants, blood pressure medications, and antidepressants), medical conditions (diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, hyper- or hypothyroid, blepharitis), and LASIK.Poor quality of tears results in the tears evaporating too quickly or not spreading evenly over the cornea.
