Dr. William R. Barrett III was born and raised in Jefferson Hills, PA. He graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. While earning a degree in biology, he was a four year member of the West Virginia University Men's Division I Ice Hockey Club, where he earned the distinction of Academic All- American three consecutive seasons.
