The winery is conveniently located next to I-10 and HWY 331 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The main vineyard is off-site and consists of 50+ acres of Carlos and Noble Muscadines. The winery was established in 1989 and opened it's doors to the public in 1990. When visiting, you'll find a gift shop full of unique items, a tasting bar that overlooks the cellar and outdoor seating for sipping and socializing.
The winery is family friendly - bring the kids! Alcohol free juices are served for anyone under the age of 21. Pets are welcome but are required to be leashed or held and cannot enter the tasting room. As always, service animals have zero restrictions and can join their family anywhere.

We do not accept reservations so come on in and join the fun! Our tasting room offers a view into our cellar where you'll see our stainless steel vats and Europress. Your tasting attendant will discuss each product and assist with any questions you may have. 6 wines are available to sample. Our Winemaker has preselected 4 of our most popular wines, but you can choose the next 2. Cheers!.
Production

The first step in production begins in the vineyard. Our 50 acre vineyard was planted in 1979 and is located 12 miles north of Defuniak Springs. The grapes are of Muscadine varieties. Muscadine grapes are native and are found growing wild in most areas of the southeastern states. Our varieties are Carlos and Noble, improved generations selected and propagated from native grapes.

At Chautauqua Winery, we are committed to providing the best customer service possible, especially in the very rare case something goes wrong. If you open a bottle and find that it is defective, we will gladly exchange it for a bottle of equal or greater value. If you exchange an item for one of greater value, you will be asked to provide the retail price difference, along with any applicable taxes, at the time of the exchange.

Club members receive 3 bottles of wine quarterly and receive 15% OFF retail and wine purchases. By registering, you are agreeing to purchase your first wine club package of $30.00(+tax).
