Digestive Disease Physicians, located in Alexandria, Virginia, is a practice of eight board-certified gastroenterologists with over 80 years of combined experience delivering top quality gastrointestinal health care. Our physicians perform a broad range of gastrointestinal procedures, including but not limited to: colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, ERCP, flexible sigmoidoscopy, capsule endoscopy and infrared coagulation of hemorrhoids.

Sean P. Hurley, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He joined our practice after serving as a Gastroenterologist in the United States Air Force. After graduating with a pre-medical degree from the University of Notre Dame, he was awarded an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship for his medical training.

Jennifer K. Wu, MD is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. She is the newest member in our practice and joined in 2013. She grew up in the Northern Virginia area and went to University of Virginia for both college and medical school.
After graduation and being in Virginia most of her life, she decided that she needed to experience other areas of the country, so she went to Boston University for her internal medicine residency.She then went to University of Pittsburgh for her gastroenterology fellowship. After being away from Northern Virginia for many years, she decided it was time to move back with her husband and son to be close to family and friends.
