In 1989, Bonnie Lavorato, along with her family, decided to hand bottle her BBQ sauce recipe from her licensed home kitchen. Her first brand name was Bonnie's Gourmet, Chick -n- Ribs in three flavors. In 1991, the business moved from her home kitchen to a 3,200 square foot facility in Rochester, NY, and there, set up the first production line.
