Services
Wood-Destroying Organisms
Report
During your wood-destroying insect (WDI) inspection, I will look for indications of infestation of wood-destroying organisms that may exist in the house using a visual-only examination. Here in the northeast, the organisms we need to worry about are carpenter ants, carpenter bees, powder-post beetles and termites.
Radon Gas Test
Report
I do a short-term passive radon test, that includes two charcoal canisters. The test takes a period of at least 48 hours, and requires that the test be done in a "closed-house" condition. Prior to the test, the house should be closed up for at least 12 hours. The test results will be emailed to you once testing is completed by the lab.
Well Water Testing
Report
Purchasing a home with a well? Well water testing is required to obtain a mortgage. For a conventional mortgage, coliform bacterial testing is a minimum requirement. Mortgages backed by FHA, HUD or the VA have more minimum testing requirements. The test required for these mortgages are coliform bacteria, lead (first flush), nitrate and nitrite.
