The closer your hair is to its natural pH (around 4.5 -5.5) the healthier it looks and feels. On top of the usual suspects: chemical processing and heat, there is another culprit that can mess with your pH, shampoo! Many shampoos use alkaline cleansing agents that cause the cuticle to lift up causing breakage and frizz.

This five-syllable word, apothecary, which entered English in the 14th century, derives from the Latin apotheca, "storehouse.". With that in mind we created a boutique skincare line using the finest raw materials available. They are never bleached or processed, conserving all of their nourishing vitamins, minerals, enzymes, proteins, and brilliant natural colors.

We are Angie and Stephani. Two girls who basically got tired of the chemicals we were being exposed to in our work environment. We'd talk about how great it would be if there was an organic hair salon. A place where clients' and stylists' weren't exposed to toxic chemicals for the sake of beauty. A place where beauty products were not only effective but had a wellness benefit as well.
