Hi, my name is Christopher Currins, owner of CBC Home Inspections, a full-time professional home inspection business established in 2006. As a lifelong resident of southwestern Illinois I have family and many friends throughout this area.
I have inspected homes and light commercial buildings from as far south as Waterloo and as far north as Carrollton, from the border of the Mississippi River to as far east as Keyesport at Carlyle Lake; and everywhere in between.I have met so many people and families of all walks of life along the way.

I check for proper Roof Coverings, Venting, Flashing, Skylights, Chimney Integrity, Rain Caps. Structural Elements including: Foundations, Basements, Crawlspaces, Slabs, Roof Structure including Trusses, Rafters & Roof Sheathing. Heating and Cooling Systems including: Overall Operation, Filtering, and Age of System (when it can be determined), Fireplaces.

Radon is an odorless, colorless, tasteless gas that is produced by naturally decaying uranium and radium. Exposure to radon gas can increase your risk at developing lung cancer. Radon gas decay products can be breathed into the lungs where they break down and emit alpha particles. Alpha particles release a small burst of energy, which is absorbed by lung tissue.
