The International Music Academy of Houston is a professional music program that meets the needs of both aspiring professional musicians and students who are learning to play an instrument solely for their own enjoyment. Our musical family includes over 250 young children, teenagers and adults of all different skill levels and walks of life who are inspired and taught by highly accomplished professional musicians from all over the world.
What We Offer

The most effective way of learning how to play an instrument is through private lessons. The International Music Academy offers one-on-one piano lessons, allowing the teacher to help each student maximize their full potential. Academy students receive 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons, once or twice a week, depending on their age and level.

Piano Teacher Training course IMAGINE (International Music Academy Guide to INstructional Excellence) presented by Matthew and Katarina Loudermilk. Individual coaching sessions for piano teachers. This is a mentoring program for piano teachers, aiming to help them rediscover their passion for teaching or improve their skill in a certain area.

Our classes serve as great preparation for private music lessons as a way for children to fall in love with music before they start playing. Participants in this program have consistently demonstrated a stronger sense of rhythm, greater musical knowledge and increased creativity.

Recitals and Other Performance Opportunities for our Piano, Violin, Flute and Guitar Students in Houston and beyond!. At our school, your child will grow comfortable with performing in front of an audience or judges. Our kids grow accustomed both to being a good audience for their friends, and learning to perform without fear by giving practice performances for other students and playing formal performances.
