Buddy Isles Sr. started Buddy's Speed World on Main Street. He took a few years off to serve our country in the Army 82nd Airborne. WIth the support of the community and a $3000 loan from BB&T, he grew his business. When he returned in 1974, he leased a larger shop space just outside of Littleton on 158E and named it Buddy Isles Automotive.

Although I have been a part of this business my entire life, ownership was passed down to me by my father in 2017. As a high school graduate and certified fabrication & welder, previously employed by NASCAR, this is truly where I am meant to be. So far, my biggest accomplishment is purchasing the new facility as the first step in the right direction to making my dreams a reality.

While business will continue in its current location at 218 E North Main St, Littleton, NC 27850 throughout September, a new location is soon to come! For those of you that may not be familiar with our new owners, please take this opportunity to learn a bit about them. Buddy Isles Jr. was born and raised in Littleton, but left for a brief period of time in 2015 to continue his career with a NASCAR team out of Ohio.

One of the most dreaded experiences a woman can face is to be stranded on the side of a busy road with a flat - in my case, a shredded - tire. Luckily, I had cellphone coverage and was able to contact my husband, who immediately called Buddy Isles to assist me in getting the tire changed. My savior in a mechanic's uniform arrived promptly, reassured me, and got down to business.

Warm weather or cold, you still need to think about our vehicle's air conditioning. Most people don't service their air conditioning until after it fails. Vehicle manufacturers have preventive maintenance schedules for air conditioning service, just as they do for transmission service, oil changes and so on.
