Charleen Zoumalan began her studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she attained a B.S. in Biology in 2005. After graduating from UCSB, Charleen headed to Chicago to attain a post-baccalaureate degree in Biomedical Sciences, where she also attained a Certificate in Research in 2008.
UST Testing

An underground storage system (UST) is a tank and any included underground piping connected to a tank that has at least 10 % of its combined volume stored underground. While USTs are used for several reasons, federal UST regulations apply to UST systems storing fuel or hazardous substances only. USTs are regulated by local and state government and agencies and must also meet federal EPA regulations.
Rule 461 UST Training

Required by the state of California, Rule 461/ UST training is needed for any facility that has an underground storage tank. We provide on-site training for anyone who works with USTs. Rule 461 is required for the transfer and dispensing of fuel.
It applies to the transfer of gasoline from any truck tank, trailer, etc. into any stationary storage, tank mobile fueler, and/or from any stationary storage tank into any mobile fueler or motor vehicle fuel tank.

Unfiltered fuel may contain serval types of contaminants that build up over time such as dirt, rust, and debris. Water may also contaminate fuel and cause car and truck engines being unable to start. Failure to maintain USTs and check quality of fuel can lead to costly repairs, blockage, and slow flow of fuel.
