Behind the Vines
Report
Adrian is a fourth generation grape grower from North East, Pennsylvania. He spent his formative years nurturing grapes and orchards just off the coast of Lake Erie. Jessica, no stranger to farm life, grew-up on a wheat farm in Western Kansas. Both found themselves in Southern Delaware, and it was fate when a mutual friend introduced the two.
The Vineyard

As you travel the back roads of Sussex County Delaware, you may not expect to find a 26-acre winery, but that's exactly what you will stumble upon when you turn onto Blackwater Road. Look for the Salted Vines sign and behind it you will see our very first vines, planted in April of 2016. Since then we've planted an acre of Malbec in 2017 and an acre of Vermentino in 2019 on the land located behind our tasting room building.

Warm and inviting. Elegant yet cozy. That's the vibe you'll get here in the Salted Vines Tasting Room. Every part of the decor was carefully considered and most of it was built or put in place by the owners or someone on the SV team, from the hand-poured concrete countertops to staining each piece of wood on the pallet wall.
The Production Room

This is where the magic happens! The Salted Vines production room is kept at chilly 64 degrees, keeping the room at the ideal temperature for making your favorite wines and storing all of the wine inventory. Inside this room, you will find all kinds of equipment needed to create the wine on our shelves; including many stainless steel tanks, several barrels, the bottling, labeling, corking, and sealing machines, and more!

Salted Vines is excited to offer The Salted Vino Experience, our new and expanded educational wine tasting journey! This elevated wine tasting experience introduces guests to our extensive wine showcase and is offered in a seated, intimate group setting, led by an educational wine tender.
Participants will enjoy a sampling of all of the wines in our showcase paired with a savory meat and cheese charcuterie box, and you will receive a keepsake mini wine glass to take with you.For groups of more than 10 guests, please contact us to set up your Salted Vino Experience.
