Services
Ballet
Our ballet program develops proper technique, posture, and grace through structured lessons. Students learn traditional ballet movements while building foundational skills applicable to all dance styles. Classes emphasize proper form, musicality, and artistic expression for ages 5 and up.
Hip Hop
High-energy hip hop classes teach urban dance styles including breaking, popping, and locking. Instructors focus on rhythm, coordination, and self-expression through contemporary choreography. Classes available for children aged 4 and up through high school students.
Acro
Acro classes combine dance and gymnastics fundamentals to develop flexibility, strength, and balance. Students progress through skills like cartwheels, handstands, and advanced tumbling sequences. Separate levels for beginners and experienced students.
Performance Team
Our non-competitive performance team offers stage experience through community events and local shows. Members must participate in three regular classes while developing advanced skills in multiple dance styles for public performances.
Musical Theater
Musical theater classes integrate dance, acting, and vocal techniques from Broadway productions. Students learn choreography from classic and contemporary musicals while developing stage presence and performance skills for ages 8 and up.

Sarah Jane Acampora
Owner/Director/Instructor
Third-generation studio owner with 20+ years teaching experience. Graduate of Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with TV and Broadcasting degree. Professional performer in major U.S. productions including Hard Rock Casino shows.
Leslie Bakaric
Founder/Assistant Director
Former Radio City Music Hall Rockette with extensive professional performance experience. Danced with entertainment legends and brings decades of industry expertise to our teaching staff.
Melanie Vigue Brough
Modern/Musical Theater Instructor
Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Brigham Young University. Experienced choreographer for community theater and schools. Specializes in modern, musical theater, and youth dance education.
Nicole Stephens
Ballet and Pointe Instructor
25+ years dance experience with psychology degree from Stockton University. Former Atlantic City performer and pageant choreographer. Specializes in ballet technique and pointe work.
Gwen Crozier-Carole
Acro Instructor
Certified gymnastics coach with 16 years teaching experience. Former casino performer with expertise in dance acro, ballet, and jazz. Offers specialized training in strength and flexibility.
Questions
What dance styles do you offer?
We offer ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, modern, musical theater, acro, and pointe classes for ages 2 through adult.
Do you require auditions for performance opportunities?
No auditions are required for our Performance Team this year, though participants must enroll in three additional classes.
What payment options are available?
Monthly tuition is $55 per class with a $25 annual registration fee. Special pricing available for students taking five or more classes.
Are there classes for very young children?
Yes! We offer Tiny Dancers (ages 2-3), Little Dancers (ages 3-5), and Prekinder classes with age-appropriate dance instruction.
Where are you located?
Our new facility is at 6601 Ventnor Avenue Suite 105, Ventnor City, NJ 08406, serving students from Atlantic and Cape May counties.

Leslies Dance Studio is such a wonderful studio!!! I have been a student at this studio for 10 years and I love this studio so much! The teachers are so nice and helping, and everyone in the studio is so kind and respectful. If you are looking for a studio to send your child, this is the studio to go to!!

Pretty much my second home. The dance teachers are amazing and will always love to get to know you. Not only is this place about dance but you gain new friends and laugh anytime you go there. Going to dance is the highlight of my week.

The best dance studio this side of NY, family ran dance studio with the top of professional dance instructors. Taught with a great combo of professional skills and kindness. My experience with Leslie Dance Studio runs over twenty years from my girls to their children and more children to come And to Top it off the show at the end of the year is of "broadway quality" every child shines and always made to feel like a Star

We have had our kids in Leslie's dance studio for over 4 years and couldn't be happier with the results. Both Miss Leslie and Miss Sarah Jane are not only unbelievable, at teaching the technicalities of dance, but they both are examples of people who care about each and every one of their students. Both are professionally trained and are extremely personable. Every time I drop my children off at dance, I know that they will not only be improving as dancers, but as people and young adults. I am comfortable having Miss Sarah and Miss Leslie as role models for our kids.They are teachers who the children
