Christopher Columbus High School has always fostered three distinct traditions: the pursuit of academic excellence, the heritage of Catholic education, and the unique spirit and mission of the Marist Brothers. Our school opened in 1958 with just two and a half buildings and an enrollment of approximately 150 students.

The tradition of Catholic education that is known as "Marist" was begun by a French priest, Marcellin Champagnat, in 1817.
