The pharmacist had trouble inputting and validating my valid and big named insurance company information for a generic prescription. After a few tries, the pharmacist gave me attitude and told me to just buy the drug out of pocket because "it'll be faster" I paid out of pocket for the drugs because of her attitude as she didn't want to continue to resolve the issue. Poor service if you are not a local. I should have have told the Urgent Care next door to send my prescription to Walmart. Avoid if you are online visiting/vacationing but in need of medicine. Do yourself a big favor. Before you refill your scripts at WalMart, CVS. Walgreen or any other bi store pharmacy, suggest you pay a visit to Bear Drugs/Pharmacy. They will probably meet or beat your costs. In addition, their front door is about 10 - 20 steps from your car...not the 1/4 mile walk to the WalMart Pharmacy. The folks working there are a perfect example of what the OBX is all about...some of the most pleasant people you will ever meet. And no long wait ! Try them !! ENJOY.....

Bear Drugs is the best pharmacy I've ever used - by far! After 20 years relying on Steve, Laura and the great staff without a single problem, why would I go anywhere else? Besides quick, accurate prescription work, there are amazing new products all the time, great greeting cards, excellent grade CBD oil products and original art items. I always feel like I've been cared for by a friend when I leave Bear Drugs because they go out of their way to be of service, including opening up late at night so I could pick up a breathing device and meds for my dad when he was ill. I cannot image any other pharmacy

Bear drugs is a much better alternative to your standard pharmacies in the area. Not only are they incredibly fast, but the customer service is what you'd expect from a Ma and Pa shop pharmacy. If we lived locally this is the only place we would go.

Steve and Bear Drugs has taken care of my family's prescription needs for decades. He's seen us through good and bad times and has always treated us with the kindness and concern of a friend. I would not ever consider going anyplace else.
