Owner Kevin Mytty acquired Western Excavating in 2004 to serve the excavating needs of his developments. The business quickly grew as we invested in equipment and extended our expertise in the areas of utility work, grading, building excavation, prepping for asphalt and concrete, and curb and sidewalk work.
We now serve a growing number of customers throughout the Missoula and surrounding areas, working with other developers, general contractors, business and home owners, governmental agencies and utilities. As we have grown, we have expanded our capabilities. In 2015 we acquired a gravel pit south of Lolo to meet the growing demand that our smaller pit was strained to fulfill.
